Over 200 Webuild Employees Earn BLSD Certification
More than 200 employees of Webuild S.p.A. took part in an intensive BLSD training program delivered by Geomed Rescue, an American Heart Association (AHA) International Training Site, in Rome and Milan.
Held over eight days, the program enabled participants to earn the Heartsaver® AHA certification and develop the skills needed to respond effectively in emergency situations — both in the workplace and in everyday life.
The course covered BLSD and PBLSD life-saving techniques for adults, children, and infants, including the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). At the end of the program, participants obtained:
- ARES 118 regional certification, valid throughout Italy
- American Heart Association international certification, recognized in over 80 countries
Through a combination of theory and hands-on practice, employees trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), AED use, and airway clearance techniques, including pediatric maneuvers. Training sessions included the use of innovative digital manikins connected to PCs and tablets, ensuring accurate feedback and high-quality CPR performance.
This initiative not only strengthens employees’ life-saving capabilities but also reinforces Webuild’s ongoing commitment to health, safety, and compliance with workplace regulations.
